The building spans three floors. The second and third floors are designed as guest rooms, featuring two distinct types of double rooms in an open-concept layout that welcomes visitors with ease and warmth. The first floor functions as a hybrid cafe space, also offering a selection of home decor, photography books, literary works, and other handpicked items for sale.

Embracing Minimalism and Nature
The design of Barn Stay is full of delightful surprises, with a minimalist and subtractive approach serving as its foundation. The owner incorporates natural elements into the space, taking inspiration from the teak left behind by the previous owner. Charlie has brought in various materials like stone and metal to reduce the use of synthetic materials, reflecting his deep respect for nature. He emphasizes that design is simply a tool to express purity and simplicity. Despite its minimalist style, the space is far from dull or monotonous. Through careful use of negative space and seamless integration of wood, Barn Stay presents a crisp, layered aesthetic.

Handcrafted Furniture and Monthly Book Selections
Every piece of wooden furniture in Barn Stay is handmade without the use of nails, relying instead on traditional joinery techniques, which reflects the owner's commitment to craftsmanship. In addition to the custom-made furniture, the space also features the owner's "Monthly Book Selection," which includes Chinese books, photography collections, and magazines.
